Our Story

About us

Since 2006, Ostiguy has done one thing well: help teens in recovery finish high school without having to choose between their sobriety and their diploma. We're a partnership of Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) and Boston Public Schools — one of the first recovery high schools in Massachusetts.

Every student who walks through our door already has the hardest part figured out: they've decided to change their relationship with drugs or alcohol or both. Our job is everything else — certified teachers, small classes, a licensed recovery counselor, and a peer community where nobody has to explain why they don't drink at the party.

What Makes Ostiguy Different

Education

Full Massachusetts high school curriculum, taught by certified teachers in small classes

Recovery

A personalized recovery plan for every student, built with a licensed recovery counselor

Family

Family involvement, from intake through graduation

Pride

A second chance to walk across the stage — while standing tall

Support

Weekly recovery groups, student-run self-help meetings, and a strong peer culture

A real high school experience.

"This is about giving kids a real chance. Ostiguy High will give both students and their families the support they need to maintain their recovery and get themselves and their education back on track."

— William J. Ostiguy
